It is 8:28 PM, I am drinking coffee. It is July 20th, but I am writing about July 19th.
I had a long day on July 18th, which was a Friday so I got mildly drunk. I got drunk and
watched the Hot Chick with Rob Schneider and passed out. I felt bloated and I had a dream I bought Tang.
When I woke up on the 19th, I was pretty hung over. It was not fun, my mom went to have lunch with her friend
and I stayed home with my dog. I have been shaving my face pretty regularly and taking my fish oil pills and
multivitamins. We have some form of spring water that tastes like feet, my mom believes the water tastes
gross because it doesn’t have chlorine, she may be right. I used some flavor packets to fix the gross feet taste
of the water. I cleaned my room barely. I did nothing for a long time and then watched OneyPlays while pretending
to take a nap. My phone was charging and I was ignoring my notifications until Dave texted me and asked if I wanted to work
on the album for a little bit. I ofcourse said yes, Dave is one of my favorite people and I really needed to see him
to cheer up my hangover. By the time he texted, I was already feeling better so I was really excited.
My mom came home from her lunch like 10 minutes after.
She took a nap while I looked for some images for the website.
I found this picture of my cousin and my grandma who passed away in 2020.
My cousin had leukemia when she was 3 to 5.
The picture I’ve attached is when my grandma switched out my cousin’s medic alert for a cuter bracelet,
I am in the background of the photo:
I hung out with Dave for about 2 hours on the dot, we had a very good time although it became very hot when we had to
record vocals and we had to turn the fan off and shut the windows. We fixed some stuff in Serial Monogamist as well as
add the bulk of what we needed to Fear and Loathing in Chili’s. Fear and Loathing was the first song recorded, I did not
write a blog entry for when we recorded back in May. After that, Dave needed to do some work for a new job he may get,
I very briefly talked his ear off about Michael Haneke - who has become my hyperfixation.
I went home and got Taco Bell for me and my mom. I found out that one girl Dawn watched Funny Games with her conservative friend Kristen - they watched the 1997 version, not the 2007 version which is objectively better, has Michael Pitt (who I really liked in Bully) and is available on YouTube for free here
As much as I’ve become a Haneke fanboy in the past month, I wouldn’t recommend his work to a lot of people -
it’s a lot to understand, and I don’t even understand, I just know I like it.
Anyway, I got home and I ate Taco Bell with my mom, it was very good.
I drank a little but not too much and drank some water. I played Minecraft and watched Amour.
Amour is definitely one of the more accessible and powerful movies I’ve watched from Haneke this month, and
I highly recommend it, you can watch it here. The characters remind of my late grandmother (mentioned above)
and my grandfather, I will not elaborate.
