It is 2:22 AM. Erik Wood’s birthday is on October 22nd and mine is on October 23rd. Today has been a fun day to a hectic week. The album is finished, I am trying to promote and send the album to as many important people as I can - cause Dave (especially) and I put a lot of hard work into this ep alongside all the previous music. The past two weeks have been a completely separate abyss of feelings - mostly combatting feelings of inadequacy towards my appearance and health. I’ve been nonstop going to doctors appointments to heal my ingrown toenail, there’s nothing worse then waiting up to 2 hours only to be referred elsewhere and only seen for less than 3 minutes. I don’t mean to complain, I know how the medical field works and I know that life and in particular the medical field requires a lot of endless waiting. However, I was seen and told I would need to go to the Operating Room on Wednesday - which is what I did. I’ll spare the details but laying in a hospital bed while being wheeled around really does feel like a Gaspar Noe movie. They put me under with anesthesia and I was out for about 50 minutes, during that 50 minutes they ripped my toe nail off and it is now bandaged and healing. My bathroom has become a makeshift medic station everytime I change the dressings, I have Vashe Wound Solution, Oil Emulsion Bandages, Standard Gauze, Extended(?) Wraps (mit Velcro), and those hospital socks with grip. Anyway, I bring all this up because I have to wear a slide on my right foot while it heals and then I can wear my regular (*professional*) shoes elsewhere - my point being that I’m wearing two different shoes during the day. Where the bandages are so plentiful, it often takes up too much room and makes my big toe look 3 times wider and/or longer. I bring this up because it is present in some of my photos from tonight, such as this one:

Today was pretty regular - I took the trash down and saw my grandma and she looked very nice and I went to work for a little bit and Dave texted me about noon asking if I wanted to go to Charleston with Erik and Seth. Those are my buddies so I said yes and we left about 5:00 PM. Seth and Dave were playing for our buddy Sean and his project SeaScout, they played the folk lore music exchange which is a really music spot shop that does like live music and live streams that live music circa KEXP style. It is very neat and they played a very rich set of songs that I enjoyed. Here is a pic of me and Erik Woods listening to our friends rock out:

From there, we went to several different bars and I had some weird blood orange beer that taste like blue moon - I also at some point purchased The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, Ecco Homo by Fred Nietzsche, and Dublin’s by Mr Joyce. I also bought some drum brushes and tried to buy a pink guitar that was the same unbranded model from the Wendigo cover which I have since sadly left at an ex’s house. From there we bar hopped, we went to one bar where I drank the Faux blue moon and talked to two very lovely ladies - I had a crush on one who had went on a bad date with a sweaty doctor and her friend was writing a substance about it. We also went to a very crowded bar where they played Blake Shelton and then we landed on a small sports bar which was alright - Erik Woods talked to a very interesting lady who asked my buddy Seth if he had ever been in a particle accelerator while he was trying to get a water. When we were leaving we saw one of those anime spring lock suit people laying around with video equipment which was interesting and semi creepy, but I’m sure they meant no harm - it looked pretty cool, here is a picture of them:

We had a good time and we drove around Charleston searching for a restroom, which we eventually found at a rest area. When we went to go in there was two men arguing about something and one said something along the lines of “you got my strap?” and reach in his waistband (I think he was pulling his pants up) and then the other guy started to make similar threats and we all decided it would be best to head home. We also overheard those guys saying “you want me to go to jail again, cause I will.” As we were leaving they all got back in the car, so I believe they may have made up. Wherever they are, I hope they made up.

Me Dave Seth and Erik all had a very good time day and I really needed that. My plan for tomorrow is to do the rest of my college work and work on a little coding, other than that I will just nap and cook some steaks with dad. Cool.
